Phantom Blade Zero’s Launch Patch

Phantom Blade Zero, the latest game from S-Game, has received a 5GB day-one patch that boosts ray tracing performance across the board. The patch is available for all platforms, including PC, where players can enjoy the game with their Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 or AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT graphics cards. However, in a surprising move, S-Game is recommending that Nvidia owners roll back their drivers to an earlier version for optimal performance.

According to reports, the newest Nvidia driver is causing issues with the game’s ray tracing feature, which is a key selling point for the title. By rolling back to an earlier driver, players can ensure a smoother gaming experience with their Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti or RTX 3070 graphics cards. Meanwhile, AMD users with Radeon RX 6900 XT or RX 6700 XT graphics cards can continue to use the latest drivers without issue.

Path Tracing Performance

The launch patch improves path tracing performance, making the game look even more stunning on high-end hardware like the Apple iPad Air M2 or Samsung Galaxy S25. The patch also includes other performance optimizations, making the game run more smoothly on a wide range of hardware, from the Apple Watch Series 10 to the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9.
